Hello everybody,

Time to decide if the site is worth the regular look in.

I want to post from time to time but the format is still not working for me, I look in most days but no posts of any continuity, apart from posted matches which is priority, I understand, separate posts seem to go off the grid early. I live so far up North that I can only attend a couple of events annually but would like to stay in touch with the site.

I,m sure we can get regular activity, we don’t need to churn up previous topics but surely there is enough to discuss from time to time.

I am not sure where this will be posted, not a complaint as previously would have been cascaded by BNF, just an observation going forward.

We can discuss here.
BNF has gone almost 12 months now, and we move on.
As for traffic yes it’s a bit slow but then again so are most sites.
Topics their is only a certain amount you can ask the same questions.
Alanmac you must be commended for the miles you travel to attend certain matches.

I have my thoughts on a few subjects but asking around my local match scene the chatter is all on face book which I believe it’s killing the Angling/match forums.

Not sure if opening the site up to everyone for Zero pounds (FREE) would help, so much choice on the internet it's diluted the forums & sites with concentrated information on angling. Maybe specialisms in certain areas like premier match leagues or going Facebook / Whatsapp only could be the answer etc... If anyone wants to add a few ideas to the pot please do :)

Sorry- but what is the point of having a web-site if we splinter off into Facebook and WhatsApp - I for one do not and will not ever use Facebook no matter what info is on there. So we then potentially create a divide of information/debate.

I agree with Bryan even though i’m a facebook and whatsapp user.

There is one fundamental issue in that when posting a thread it doesn’t automatically appear in LATEST THREADS on the front page and you have to search for it or rely on a response from someone for it to filter through.

I have just posted a thread on MONKS 2-dayer 2019 as can be seen in the chatbox, however you will only find the thread by clicking on the chatbox link or looking for it under forums

Good point Bryan, I don’t do face book myself or social media in general, good to talk with like minded people on a site like this, I think we are getting close to critical mass, hope we continue, time will tell.
