Day 2 and my worst ever day since started fishing here in 2005!... Was rod and line only today and i've managed a massive 3 bites on the feeder + 1 on PW.

Scores were 5-4 to munkees on the day and now 9 - 6 going into the final day 18 singles to count. 20180914_191418.jpg 20180914_191426.jpg 20180914_191431.jpg 20180914_191439.jpg 20180914_191445.jpg 20180914_191451.jpg

Day 3 and Shandees needed to overturn a 3 point munkee lead.

Score today was 10 - 8 to the Shandees meaning the overall score was 17-16 to the Munkees.

Thanks to everyone for a few good days ... banter was better than the fishing for me .. one thing next year we should all book the same place to stay wherever the majority vote and the crack will be better ..

Many thanks to Rick and Pikey for organising this years bash. Not been on MvS for a couple of years and enjoyed some of the fishing!

Was supposed to be working Thursday and Friday so apologies for being a bit antisocial at the premier inn. Had to catchup on the work

Agree with Ruddy - should try to get everyone in the same hotel where possible. The shoot is dreadful but there used to be some great craic back in the day!

And finally - waited for years to draw peg 30 and spent best part of 5 hours unable to get a bite! Cruisers everywhere but not interested in the feed. Foul hooked a stack trying to mug them but just not for me.

They rocked up in the edge late and I've done 50odd lb in the last 45 minutes but didn't have enough to beat Pikey. Decided to wrap up early and get home to see my 7 month old daughter before she went to bed. Managed to miss that one too!

Roll on next year.

Nige.

A great time as always on Glebe get togethers - before any more add their thanks, all I did was collect all the money in my Paypal account, bring some boards and give out the money ! Rick did ALL the organising himself !

A special Well Done to all the so called "Weaker Anglers" who all seemed to catch more than the rest of us !

Looking forward to next year, when some have already said more of us need to be staying in the. same place.

if we can get the dates confirmed will announce asap so better chance of more us getting in same place at reasonable rates. Other option would be to organise a group booking and negotiate a room rate for all.

Rick thank you for all your hard work the draw, results and event ran like clockwork and was a great pleasure to attend. Was a funny few days fishing wise but enjoyable all the same, Friday was like Winter on peg 18 at one point my sodding nose was running!
Had a great few days in some of the best company, thank you.

For accommodation Is an interesting option called the Castle Hotel at Kirby Muxloe LE9 2AP. Is 5.7miles from the Glebe (3.6 miles from Prem Leicester Forest East.) This is closer to the fishery than any of the hotels we used this year.

Owned by same group as Longshoot so similar menu but being in a village there are other local options if required.
