    Fish Legal has discovered that a hydroscheme on the River Goyt that has been generating electricity unlawfully since April 2017 is unlikely to face enforcement action by the Environment Agency.

    What a rubbish report............... just wish the Fish Legal would talk to local anglers and they would have got the true story of the River its been poor fishing and untidy for over 30 years may be more

    "Abstraction Licence" ? What are they doing with the water after it goes through the turbine ? Drinking it ?.

    Access to any point on this river is 99% over private land.. They need to build some car parks and make access points..

    Two years ago, The builder who was working at Bredbury Hall hotel decided that it would be ok to build a new weir by slinging all the old breeze blocks and plaster board in the river that runs past the hotel. What happened ? Nothing.....No one cares about this river. its a crying shame.
